Accomplishments
Leonardo accomplished many things in his life. In his life he worked in a studio and for royalty, even though his mom was a peasant and his dad was a notary he was very successful.
Some of Leonardo's greatest accomplishments were painting The Mona Lisa and The last Supper. The Mona Lisa was made from 1502-1506. This piece of art is one of the worlds greatest paintings, and is very valuable. This painting is also called "La Gioconda", it was a portrait of a woman. The Last Supper was another one of Leonardo's finest work. The Last Supper was made from 1495-1498. This painting was a painting of Jesus and his disciples having The Last Supper. This painting is also very costly and valuable.
Leonardo was also a great inventor and engineer. While he was in France he invented many things for the army. One of the things he invented for them was a machine gun. Another was a tank. Leonardo put a lot of time into those inventions and many others such as the flying machine. The flying machine was one of Leonardo's inventions that gave man the ability to fly for the first time.
Besides being a good artist, inventor, and engineer he was also a great sculptor. Also Leonardo had made a sculpture for the Duke of Milan. The sculpture was cast in bronze. It was a horse the height of 24 ft. It was dedicated to the Duke's father.
Thanks to all Leonardo's accomplishments we know him for who he is to this day. And thankfully he was very important.
